First post of my architecture photos

On Tuesday I went over to a local church (after having asked the pastor, natch) and took some photos of the building.  I really do like the mid-century architecture.  I find the angles that slice up the building intriguing.

I was there for roughly an hour before I completely lost the light and got 56 frames.  My intention was to return later in the evening and shoot some more, but the weather did not cooperate and it started to rain at about 4:00 and has done so off-and-on through now.  I really think that I could get some more dramatic shots shooting in the evening rather than the morning.

That said, on my way to work this morning, the sky was just perfect.  We were right in between showers, the clouds had fractured a little, the sky was brilliant blue, and sun rays cascaded through the cloud cover.  Unfortunately, I had to go to work and didn't have time to stop and shoot.  Curse that mortgage payment!
